The man behind this iconic creation is none other than James Curtis, a retired Colonial Williamsburg Master Silversmith. He began crafting these cuff bracelets in 1965, and under his tenure, they gained massive popularity, becoming a staple item cherished by locals and visitors alike.
Mr. Curtis was responsible for creating items for several US presidents, Queen Elizabeth, King Charles (as a gift to Diana), John Wayne, and more celebrities and dignitaries. His greatest love continues to be creating items for local residents and visitors to the Williamsburg area.
When Williamsburg Jewelers owner Michael Fagan met Mr. Curtis, they established an instant connection. After a single conversation, Mr. Curtis decided to make Williamsburg Jewelers the EXCLUSIVE home for his cuff bracelets. The store proudly labels them as the ORIGINAL, crafted by the revered Master Silversmith.
